Workflow

There are many routine tasks in your daily marketing and sales, you can configure workflow rules to finish the routine tasks automatically and make your business hours more productive and focus on closing more deals. Your team can automate routine tasks based on workflow criteria and actions, such as work you normally assign, emails you regularly send, and record updates.

Approval Process

Just like workflow, an approval process is an automated process implemented to approve or reject records stored in CloudCC. You can specify the steps necessary for all the yes or no situations in your organization’s in-house and managerial approval processes, allow one step to apply to all records or some records with certain attributes, and specify who is the approver of each step. What’s more, you can also specify the action to be performed when a record is approved, rejected, or recalled.

Roles

Works with sharing settings, role hierarchy can determine the level of access that users have to CloudCC data. Role define the level of access to data between superiors and subordinates. Users at any role level can read, edit, and report on all data owned by the users lower in the role hierarchy or share with them, unless you have special sharing settings for an object.

Profiles

A profile is a collection of permissions and settings that match up with the user’s job function. You can use profiles to determine which data the user can see and what the user can do with the data, when and where they can access and work on the objects and data. Your organization includes several standard profiles, but you can create new profiles and assign them to users. Also, you can set permissions and page layouts for the profile in order to give the user only access to the functions and data permitted.

Permission Sets

Without changing a user's profile, permission set, a collection of permissions and settings, can extend the user's functional access. That means, each user can have only one profile, but they can have multiple permission sets. Two users assigned the same profile can have different permissions because of your permission sets.

Territory Management

Territory management allows you to organize some users based on their geographic attributes. The territory hierarchy shows a territory model of your organization. Administrators can experiment with different territories and manage your company’s territories by adding, editing, and deleting areas. Working with roles, profiles, sharing rules, territory management protects the organization’s data security from a geographical perspective.

Record Type & Page Layout

Different users need different business processes with unique page layouts and picklist values. You might create a new record type to differentiate regular sales deals and offer distinct picklist values for each user with different profiles. Or you might display different fields and related lists for your users because of distinct permissions and processes. You might create a new page layout and assign it only to certain users.

Sharing Rules

In order to allow higher access permissions than your org-wide default sharing settings for some particular users, you can use sharing rules. They can be set to share record access with users by role, or by role and its subordinates. That means, the sharing rules can make exceptions.
